The version of Java doesn't jive with the version of RIS you are using.  If the RIS has recently been updated maybe the Java version doesn't support it.  Call BRIT support or Nick to have the correct version installed

bullet

There are exams that are not being read

Possible issues:

   1) The radiologist doesn't have the exam

    a.  Make sure the exam has been VERIFIED.  The Radiologist can not see the exam if it has not been VERIFIED or CRITICAL.

    b.  Make sure that the images have arrived from the modality.  You should have an order and a study in the RIS.

    c.  If the procedure is all there and is VERIFIED and it is not on the Radiologist workstation then your exams may still be local because your internet is down.  Try going onto a separate web site like Google or Yahoo.  If you can't log in there then your exams can not go to the server.  You will need to call your IT person or ISP (Internet Service Provider)

    2) The exam has been read but the report is still in PowerScribe

    a.  If there was a change made to the patient, their ID or DOB then PowerScribe will not send the report back to the RIS.

    b.  You will need to call BF PACS Administrator 318-694-3447 to resend the report after they are made identical.  PowerScribe must have this safeguard to be sure that reports are not sent to the wrong patient.

    3) The radiologists hasn't read them yet

    a.  The Radiologists do not sit at their workstations 24 / 7.  If there is an exam you need read after hours or on the weekend then you will need to call the Radiologist on call at 866-694-3446.

    b.  Any exam done after hours that is not CRITICAL will be read the next morning.

    c.  There are times when the Radiologists can not read due to internet problems, workstation issues, etc.  These are kept to a minimum but it does happen.

    d.  Call either BF PACS Administrator or the Radiologist to see what the issue is.

    1) Make sure "Send Common" is running.  If it is, shut it down and restart.
